Mother Tongue Languages (MTL)

M.Y World offers a comprehensive Mother Tongue Language (MTL) curriculum compliant with the MOE preschool framework. We provide education in all three official Mother Tongue languages:
  • Chinese
  • Malay
  • Tamil
Our curriculum integrates cultural values and language literacy into daily lessons, ensuring children are bilingual and culturally grounded.

Development Support-Learning Support (DS-LS)

As an Anchor Operator, M.Y World provides the Development Support-Learning Support (DS-LS) programme for K1 and K2 children requiring early intervention.

Conducted by trained Learning Support Educators (LSEd), this programme provides targeted support in:

  • Literacy and language
  • Social skills and behaviour
  • Fine and gross motor skills
Sessions are held within the preschool to support children in their natural learning environment.

The M.Y World learning approach supports:

Through collaborative projects and group inquiry, children learn to express their feelings, negotiate with peers, and respect diverse perspectives. Our educators guide them to build emotional resilience and empathy, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and ready to interact with the world around them.
Our inquiry-based environment naturally boosts language as children are encouraged to ask questions, describe their discoveries, and share stories. Whether through Mother Tongue immersion or English literacy activities, children develop a rich vocabulary and the confidence to articulate their thoughts clearly.
Learning happens when the body is active. We integrate fine motor skills (like handling materials for experiments) and gross motor play (outdoor exploration) into daily lessons. This hands-on approach strengthens physical coordination, spatial awareness, and overall health while children investigate their surroundings.
We move beyond rote memorisation by empowering children to be “architects of their own learning.” Through purposeful play and investigation, children learn to hypothesise, test ideas, and solve real-world problems. This builds the critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity needed for school and beyond.
Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace through active exploration and hands-on experimentation.

A journey into sound exploration where children create and improvise music. Uniquely, this programme integrates Character Education, using musical challenges to teach patience, respect, and conflict resolution.

  • Schedule: 45 minutes, once a week (4 times/month)
  • Fee: S$100.00 + GST for 4 sessions

M.Y Ukulele

The perfect introduction to instrumental music. This course simplifies complex music theory into fun, playable lessons, teaching children how to strum, transition chords, and read basic notes.
Accreditation:
Australian Guild of Music and Speech (AGMS-accredited): Step 1 exam at end of K2
  • Ages: 5 to 6 years old (K1 to K2)
  • Class Size: 5 to 10 children
  • Schedule: 45 minutes, once a week (4 times/month)
  • Fee: S$100.00 + GST for 4 sessions (One-time material fee: $50.00 + GST for 1 Ukulele and Resources)

This category empowers children to articulate their thoughts, build self-esteem, and communicate effectively.

A comprehensive Speech and Drama course designed to turn shy observers into confident speakers. Through fables and literature, children step into different roles, learning to articulate their thoughts and understand moral values.

Australian Guild of Music and Speech (AGMS-accredited): K3 Level exam at end of K2
  • Ages: 3 to 6 years old (N1 to K2)
