New Starter Info
We do not provide any transport as most of the children live near our centres. We strongly recommend that you choose a centre near your home or workplace as this reduces stress for both parent and child.
Children are required to wear M.Y World uniform at all times. They are discouraged from wearing jewellery to the centre. To purchase M.Y World Preschool uniform for your child, please visit Asencio Online Store at www.asencio.com.sg.
The M.Y World uniform consists of a comfortable dry-fit round collar T-shirt and shorts, featuring our cheery signature colours. We believe it is important for your child to be comfortable, as he/she will be wearing it all day.
We generally recommend that parents purchase 4 sets of uniforms for each child. You may choose to purchase more according to your child’s needs.
Your child will be required to have with him / her the following items* daily:
(a) M.Y World T shirt and shorts **
(b) Bath towel
(c) Toothbrush and mug **
(d) Plastic bags (for wet/ soiled clothes)
(e) Water bottle
(f) Comb
*Please label all your child’s belongings.
**Please note items (a) and (c) do not apply for Infant Car/e.
As a preschool that strongly believes in inspiring learning in each child through partnership with parents, our teachers may sometimes allocate home-based activities which the children may require their parents’ help to complete.
When children begin child care, they must adjust to two very important changes: the separation from parents and getting used to a strange place. Whether your child is six months or three years old, you can help to prepare for this transition:
- Provide opportunities for your child to interact with a babysitter or playgroups before beginning child care. Children who have experienced some form of part-time care have a better chance of adjusting easily.
- Plan to make no other lifestyle changes while your child is adjusting to child care. This is not the time to introduce a new bed, new foods or even that first haircut.
- Schedule a visit before the first day. It’s a good idea for your child to meet the child care teacher with other children around.
- Talk about the centre and the teacher at home. Use the teacher’s name so that your child will be familiar with it when he or she starts child care.
- Work out your own feelings before your child begins child care. Remember, both positive and negative feelings will be transmitted to your child.
Yes.
Parent/Teacher Conferences – are not only a great opportunity to discuss your child’s development with his/her teachers, they also present a chance for parents to interact with each other.
Centre events – events New Year Gathering, Christmas Party and Sports Day may be hosted by the centres and parents are more than welcome to join in to spend some quality bonding time with your children and socialise with other parents.
We encourage children to eat meals prepared by the centre. We recognise the importance of serving our children healthy and nutritious food. All meals served at our centres are specially catered with a carefully curated menu for our children.
We are not halal-certified, however, we provide food that are from halal sources that contain no pork, lard or beef. Vegetarian options are not available.

At M.Y World, we deliver a holistic, learner-centred curriculum designed to cultivate a lifelong love for learning within a safe and supportive space. Tailored for children across our Singapore infant care and preschool centres, our teaching approach is built on four key pillars:
- Holistic child development: Nurturing physical, social, and emotional well-being.
- Language and cultural appreciation: Fostering bilingualism with robust Mother Tongue Language (MTL) programmes in Chinese, Malay, and Tamil.
- Values and character: Building a strong moral foundation and empathy for others.
- Cognitive growth through play: Encouraging active exploration, inquiry, and creative problem-solving.
From sensory exploration in our Infant Care to school-readiness in our Kindergarten, we ensure every child is supported. We also offer specialised Development Support (DS-LS) and engaging in-house music enrichments to uncover hidden talents.
Discover how we nurture every champion’s unique journey on our Our Programmes page!
Our Learning Envrionment: M.Y World recognises that using learning centres is one way to cater for children with different developmental needs and abilities. As such, besides providing a space for large group activities, teachers design spaces for small group activities that engage the children in self-directed pursuit of knowledge and acquisition of skills. Learning centre activities are open-ended to encourage exploration and experimentation. They also provide opportunities for practice, reinforcement, enrichment and review.
Because we believe every child deserves a Champion, we groom our teachers to be that Champion your child deserves. Our teachers are professional educators who are certified or currently pursuing certificates in Infant Care and Early Childhood Education. We meet the requirements set out by ECDA, and this is an important criteria in our being appointed an Anchor Operator.
We carefully select our staff and equip them through ongoing training and skills upgrading. In addition, our experienced principals and senior teachers are constantly mentoring their staff both in the skills arena and in the ethos of M.Y World Preschool.
All enrichment programmes and field trips are on an opt-in basis and not compulsory.
For the usual in-class activities, we highly recommend that parents let their children participate in them so that they will not be isolated and can socialise and learn in a cooperative and cohesive environment.
