Ms Grace Chan
Group Chief Executive Officer
Grace joined Metropolitan YMCA Singapore (MYMCA) in 1993 after her graduation and was involved in many areas of work including Continuing Education & Enrichment, Public & International Affairs and Hospitality Services. She left the organisation in 2004 to take a sabbatical and later pursued a career as Owner Representative of a public listed international hospitality group. In 2011, Grace was invited to re-join MYMCA as Chief Operating Officer and later took over the helm as Group CEO in 2021, in the midst of the global pandemic crisis.
A dynamic leader, Grace has been at the forefront of numerous pivotal initiatives. Known for her strategic acumen and ability to structure complex challenges, she successfully spearheaded key projects including the restructuring of the Association, as well as rebranding its education services and repositioning its social enterprises. Grace is also instrumental in revamping the Association’s service spaces to enhance alignment, quality, sustainability and agility.
A firm believer in the power of partnerships and co-creation, she brings diverse teams together, harnessing their collective strength to achieve common goal. Grace’s leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to mentor young people to become the next generation of inspiring leaders who will make a positive difference in their communities.
Ms Veronica Chua
Group Chief Financial Officer
Veronica joined Metropolitan YMCA on 1 September 2020, bringing with her a wealth of financial and corporate experience in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau and the United Kingdom, which she uses to serve the Association’s mission of positive community transformation.
She is no stranger to the ecumenical space as she was with a global Christian organisation in her past employment. Blessed with a winsome personality, a heart for people and community, she is a firm advocate of using her faith to inform her interactions and transactions and she continues to do so in MYMCA – upholding the values that define the Association, and the principles that guide our work as a faith organisation.
